Syrian forces kill large number of ISIS terrorists in western Raqqa
The Syrian Air Force continued to pound the ISIS positions in the west Raqqa countryside on Wednesday night, striking the aforementioned terrorist group at several sites along the Salamiyah-Raqqa Highway.
These airstrikes by the Syrian Air Force proved highly effective as their ground forces in Ithriya were given a necessary reprieve from the ISIS counter-offensive in the western countryside of the Al-Raqqa Governorate.
According to a military source at the Hama Airport, the Syrian Air Force specifically targeted the ISIS positions at the village of Albu Allaj, along with the latter’s presence along the Tabaqa-Anbaj and Anbaj-Albu Allaj roads.
The airstrikes reportedly killed a large number of ISIS terrorists, including several foreign combatants.
